Stacked Bench One day I was staring at a pile of Baltic birch plywood (now you know how I spend my free time) when it occurred to me that the edges of the plywood had some really striking features. In case you didn’t know, Baltic birch (sometimes called Russian birch) is a special type of plywood that’s used for making furniture and other things that require strength and stability. It’s not necessarily more expensive than regular plywood, but it might not be available at your local mega hardware store. You might need to look at a place that specializes in hardwood. It’s worth the extra legwork, though.
