SMALL BATHROOM TO LARGER BATHROOM

Making a Small Bath Larger WHILE THERE ARE WAYS to make a small room feel larger, sometimes the only recourse for a cramped space is to actually make it larger. In this bathroom remodel, a closet in an adjacent study was annexed to add more floor space, allowing more room to rearrange the fixtures and add a larger window. At 7 ft. by 7 ft., this is still a modestly sized room that benefits from some space-enhancing strategies, such as a large mirror, a minimal tempered-glass partition between the tub and the vanity area, and plenty of natural light from both the new window and the sandblasted-glass entry door.

A CLASSIC WAY TO MAKE A SMALL BATHROOM
feel larger is by adding a large mirror. A pedestal sink adds to the illusion of space because it occupies such a small footprint, while the flanking vertical-grain Douglas fir cabinets provide plenty of much-needed storage
Enlarging a tiny bath by moving walls and changing fixture locations isn't the cheapest option, but in some cases it is the only realistic alternative for creating a functional
and attractive bathroom. Relocating the study closet allowed the original bathroom's cramped and dark L-shaped footprint to grow to 7 ft. x 7 ft., providing more room for the relocated fixtures, while a new and larger window centered in the wall above Hie tub helps flood the room with light.
